SOZO 2006: July 19-23, 2006

The SOZO Festival exists as a training event to facilitate the goals of Destiny Group International and the SOZO Foundation. Hundreds of young adults come from many nations and across many boundaries to attend this strategic event. In 2004 we hosted over 900 staff and participants from 24 nations.

The festival is a five-day camping event offering over 20 seminars with topics ranging from leadership training, marriage and family, worship, dance, young adult ministry, worship art, children’s ministry and various instruments, to theology of worship and songwriting.

Evening concerts feature indigenous bands as well as bands from the U.S. and Western Europe. Concerts are free to the public and offer great opportunities to meet and build relationships with local people. There are two late night stages; ‘Café SOZO’, an acoustic stage and ‘SOZO 2 the City.’ These stages are another tool utilized for training as we give artists a venue to explore their talents.

While training young leaders from Central and Eastern Europe the event also focuses on reconciliation as it encourages individuals from all denominations, cultures and ethnic groups to break down the walls that have kept them separated.
